- Water analysed in an accredited DIN-EN-ISO 17025 water laboratory
- Express analysis possible (3 working days), incl. expert tips
The MINI water test is ideal for drawing conclusions about the condition of the pipework in domestic installations. We also recommend this water test if you want to have the water from coffee machines tested.
Ingesting contaminated drinking water can cause enormous damage to health. According to experts, the quality of the water in your home should therefore be checked regularly.
When is a water test useful and how good is German drinking water quality really?
German drinking water is generally of very good quality and is checked almost daily by the waterworks' internal water analyses before it is sent on its long journey to the end consumer. However, most people don't realise this: The responsibility of the waterworks ends at the consumer's house connection. From this point onwards, the owner is responsible for the water quality. It is not only old water pipes and maintenance-free drinking water systems that influence the actual quality from the tap. The most common sources of contamination are the tap or tap fitting. This is why the measured values from the waterworks are not meaningful for the end consumer. So if you want to know the true quality of your tap water, you should have it analysed in a drinking water laboratory!
How does the water analysis work?
Once you have successfully placed your order, we will dispatch your water analysis kit within 24 hours by Deutsche Post / DHL or UPS courier. The test kit contains everything you need to take a sample. You do not need any prior knowledge.
After you have filled the sample, simply use the return material we have already prepared and send your sample directly to the accredited German drinking water laboratory. Here, your water sample will be professionally analysed without any detours or delays.
Which pollutants are analysed in the MINI water test?
The MINI water test includes a detailed analysis of the following substances:
Heavy metals
- lead
- copper
- nickel
Minerals and hardness constituents
- magnesium
- Calcium
- Water hardness
Further test values
- pH value
- Electrical conductivity
Would you like to have other pollutants in your water tested?
Our recommendation if you want to drink your tap water: The PLUS water analysis tests for 31 possible pollutants in the water.
How does contaminated drinking water affect health?
The quality of the drinking water that flows from your tap at home has a huge impact on your health. Even if you don't drink your tap water, you will eventually use it for cooking. Unlike most bacteria and germs, heavy metals are not "boiled off". Contamination by heavy metals such as lead or copper exposes the organism to a danger that develops gradually and can also be misdiagnosed. Signs of this can be persistent tiredness, fatigue and frequent headaches. You will receive further information on the health effects with the results of your water test.
If the drinking water flows through lead pipes, it is very unlikely that the limit values for heavy metals in drinking water laid down in the Drinking Water Ordinance will be complied with. If this is the case, there is a rapid risk to the health of the consumer, so that further steps, including the remediation of the drinking water installation, must be initiated.
Who is the MINI water test particularly suitable for?
The MINI water test is particularly suitable for checking the condition of the pipework (the so-called last metre) and the material quality of the installed tap fitting and preventing possible consequential damage.
