The stopcocks are used as manual valves to temporarily switch off the water flow manually. Downstream assemblies or systems can be switched off for maintenance purposes. Water treatment systems such as osmosis systems or water filters can be switched on and off using the stopcocks. The manual valves are made of the highest quality materials and have all the necessary approvals for use with drinking water (DVGW W270, KTW, WRAS, NSF and ACS). The valves can also be used for compressed air or other liquids (subject to prior technical clarification). Shut-off valves for metric and imperial plug connections are available in various designs. The materials used for the manual valves are - Housing and handle made of POM - Seals made of EPDM - Retaining teeth made of stainless steel STS301 The valves may only be used in either the "fully open" or "fully closed" setting. The stopcocks must not be used for flow control, as a permanent pipe seal (the use of end caps is recommended for this) or as an outlet or water tap.
