The Water Test PLUS analyses your drinking water for 32 parameters including heavy metals, hardness constituents, minerals and nitrogenous compounds. The water analysis also checks values that are important for pregnant women, babies and the preparation of baby food. This water analysis is also necessary before purchasing/using a water bubbler (e.g. Sodastream), for older pipework systems and heavy metal contamination in the body.

When is a water test useful and how good is German drinking water quality really?

German drinking water is generally of very good quality and is checked almost daily by the waterworks' internal water analyses before it is sent on its long journey to the end consumer's household pipes. However, most people don't realise this: The responsibility of the waterworks ends at the consumer's house connection. From this point onwards, the owner (usually the landlord) is responsible for the water quality. In the vast majority of cases, the owner is not obliged to analyse the water. Legionella testing is the exception.

It is not only old water pipes and maintenance-free drinking water systems that influence the actual quality from the tap. The most common sources of contamination are the tap or tap fitting.
This is why the measured values from the waterworks are not meaningful for the end consumer. So if you want to know the true quality of your tap water, you should have it analysed in a drinking water laboratory. This is also particularly relevant if you use a water bubbler such as Sodastream or a similar device. Especially if you want to do without lugging around crates and want to give your drinking water that certain something with a sparkling water maker, it is an advantage to be sure of your water quality.

How does the water analysis work?

Once you have successfully placed your order, we will dispatch your water analysis kit within 24 hours by Deutsche Post / DHL or UPS courier. The test kit contains everything you need to take a sample. You do not need any prior knowledge.
After you have filled the sample, simply use the return material we have already prepared and send your sample directly to the accredited German drinking water laboratory. Here, your water sample will be professionally analysed without any detours or delays. After the analysis, the test result of your water test is immediately made available to you online, giving you a comprehensive overview of your water quality. If there is no contamination, you can safely enjoy your tap water in all its forms: pure, from the water bubbler, when showering, washing, cooking or bathing - it's simply good to have certainty.
